Don't sell yourself short. My guess is she saw your picture on your website and sent you the message. I'm thinking it's legit.
Yes, that may be true, but the part I left out is I received it at my work email address, which is in no way linked to my personal blog. Sorry already thought it through and I was real hopeful and all but it just didn't pan out...
Nope, it's spam. I received it at three disposable addresses, one of which was never used except for a single newsgroup posting.
